Feral

Most organisations doing valuable work are buried in admin: systems that don't talk to each other, data typed in twice, evenings lost to orders and paperwork. We find those gaps and build the tools that close them.

We start by listening. Research and strategy come first: mapping how the work really happens, finding where the gaps are, and agreeing what's worth building. Then we design and build it, and stay with it as it's used.

We build tools to make people's work count for more, and we agree up front how the time saved will be used. Where an idea works in one place, we shape it into a product others can use.

Feral is led by Roo Williams, a designer, maker and builder working at the intersection of software, craft and ideas. Roo studied product design at Central Saint Martins and prototyped new products at Twitter in New York before returning to South Wales. Now the focus is on where smart tools can help most: local services, community organisations, and small food and farming businesses. Interested in tools, systems, and anything that blurs the line between digital, physical, and the more than human world.
